HUNTSVILLE | The UAH men's soccer team won its second consecutive Gulf South Conference contest with a 2-1 come-from-behind victory over visiting Lee at Charger Park on Sunday afternoon. UAH improves to 4-1-1 (2-0-0 GSC), while LU slides to 3-2-0 (0-1-0 GSC).

UAH went behind late in the first half on a 41st-minute goal by Lee's Eamon McLaughlin, but the Blue & White rebounded in the second half with back-to-back goals by
Malek Elbendary in the 55th minute and Rafa Vega in the 68th.

Vega is now atop the team lead with three goals and six points, while Elbendary registers his first goal of the 2023 campaign.

Ethan Haworth backstopped the Chargers to the 2-1 victory, as he notched three saves with the one goal allowed. His record in goal improves to 4-1-1.

Jose Bannwart, and
Colby Nesbit all played the full 90 minutes on the pitch along with Haworth.

Overall in the contest, UAH notched four corner kick opportunities and put three shots on goal.

The Chargers return to action on Friday at 6 p.m. with a nonconference tilt against Lindsey Wilson at Charger Park.
