The Chargers enter the weekend with a 4-1-1 overall record and a 2-0-0 mark in Gulf South Conference play, after topping both Shorter and Lee in the first weekend of league action. This is UAH's first 2-0-0 start to GSC play since the 2018 campaign.

Sophomore Rafa Vega scored a goal in both of last week's matches – including the game-winner on Sunday – to own a team-high three goals and six points this season. He is one of three Chargers to record at least two goals in 2023, as
Justin Alcantara and
Jose Bannwart have both notched two tallies.

Ethan Haworth has played the entirety of the season in goal thus far for the Blue & White with just six goals allowed across 540 minutes of action with 14 saves. Haworth currently rates in the top six of the conference in goals against average (1.00/4th), saves (14/6th), and shutouts (2/T2nd).

Friday's matchup will be the first-ever between UAH and Lindsey Wilson.

Lindsey Wilson comes into Friday's contest as the No. 5 ranked team nationally in the NAIA as the squad boasts a 5-2-1 overall record in 2023. The Blue Raiders offense is guided by Sebastian Tregarthen with eight goals, while Pablo Costa has been LWC's primary goalkeeper with seven goals allowed and 29 saves through eight games.

After Friday's match, UAH looks ahead to a pair of GSC contests at Charger Park next weekend to wrap up a four-match homestand with visits from Auburn Montgomery on Friday and Montevallo on Sunday.
