HUNTSVILLE | The UAH men's soccer team is set to host a pair of Gulf South Conference matches at Charger Park this weekend with visits from Auburn Montgomery on Friday at 7:30 p.m. and Montevallo on Sunday at 3:30 p.m.

The Chargers enter the weekend's schedule as one of four teams in the GSC to accrue two league wins so far in 2023, as UAH holds a 4-2-1 overall record and a 2-0-0 mark in conference play after a nonconference loss to Lindsey Wilson last Friday.

Sophomore Rafa Vega remains atop the Chargers offense with six points on a team-high three goals, followed by
Justin Alcantara at five points from two goals and one assist. Overall, 10 different UAH players have recorded at least one point offensively through seven contests.

Senior
Ethan Haworth has been UAH's goalkeeper throughout the entirety of the campaign so far, as he's accrued a 1.29 goals against average with 17 saves through seven games.

Auburn Montgomery comes into the Friday tilt with a 4-0-3 overall record and a 3-0-0 mark in GSC contests, following a 4-1 victory at Shorter on Sunday. The Warhawks offense is led by Nick Atkinson with three goals, while William Blake has been AUM's primary goalkeeper with two goals allowed and 22 saves in seven games.

Montevallo enters the weekend at 2-5-0 overall and 1-1-0 in GSC play, after most recently falling 1-0 to Lee on Sunday. The Falcons offense is guided by Branko Buljan Ivelich with two goals, while Tomas Valles Gilbert has seen all the action in goal with a 2.14 goals against average and 34 saves.

UAH holds all-time series records of 8-6-2 against AUM and 15-16-2 against Montevallo.

After this weekend's matches, the Chargers look ahead to a trip through the Volunteer State next weekend with trips to Christian Brothers and Union.
