MEMPHIS, Tenn. | The UAH women's basketball team picked up a 63-50 road victory at Christian Brothers on Saturday afternoon in Gulf South Conference action. UAH improves to 6-6 (5-4 GSC), while CBU slides to 1-12 (1-8 GSC).

Haley Nichols had a stellar performance in the victory to lead the Chargers to Saturday's win with a career-high 33 points as she went 14-for-19 from the field, 1-for-1 on three-pointers and 4-for-5 on free throws. Nichols additionally generated seven rebounds to rate second on the squad across a team-best 34 minutes on the floor.

Nichols 33 points are the most scored by a Charger this season and the second most by a player from the GSC in 2023-24. This is the first 30-plus point performance by a UAH women's basketball player since
Alexis Woods scored 32 against Union on Dec. 19, 2020, and she is now the 14th player in program history to achieve 33 points in a game.

Overall, in the game, Nichols accounted for 52.3 percent of the Chargers scoring offense.

Bella White nearly achieved a double-double in the win as she posted nine points and a roster-leading nine rebounds against the Buccaneers. She also added two assists and a team-high three steals.

Elyse Hughes tied White for second on the squad with nine points, with
Haelim Adle dishing out a team-high five assists.

UAH shot 49.0 percent (25-51) from the field for the contest, while holding CBU to 33.9 percent (19-56) on field goals. The Chargers additionally held the edge over the Bucs in points off turnovers (17-11) and points in the paint (38-28).
