HUNTSVILLE | The UAH men's soccer team fell to visiting Union by a final score of 2-1 at Charger Park on Sunday afternoon in Gulf South Conference action. UAH dips to 1-6-3 (0-5-1 GSC), while UU rises to 6-3-1 (1-2-1 GSC).

Union scored a late goal in the first half in the 39th minute by Kenny Nitsche on a penalty kick, as the Bulldogs took a 1-0 lead into the half.

The Chargers rebounded early into the second half in the 48th minute on a free-kick goal by
Oli Orzechowski for his team-best fouth marker of the season.

The Bulldogs went on to score the go-ahead goal off a free kick by Noel Pataki in the 86th minute, with Union going on to win it by the 2-1 final score.

UAH generated a bevy of opportunities in the contest with 10 corner kicks and eight shots on goal, led by
Brody Worrell with a team-high three shots on target.

Sonny Wright played the full time in goal for the Chargers, turning in five saves with two goals allowed. He was aided defensively by 90-minute efforts from
Justin Alcantara,
Wesley Atoyebi,
Charlie Garrison, and
Harvey Hewson.

UAH looks ahead to a pair of road matchups next weekend at Delta State on Friday and Mississippi College on Sunday.
