CLEVELAND, Miss. | The UAH men's soccer team dropped Friday afternoon's weekend opener by a final score of 2-1 at Delta State in Gulf South Conference action. UAH slides to 1-7-3 (0-6-1 GSC), while DSU improves to 3-3-5 (2-2-2 GSC).

UAH went on the board first in the road matchup at DSU on Friday with a goal by
Oli Orzechowski in the 20th minute thanks to an assist by
Donovan Pruitte.

However, Delta State went on to score twice in the second half in the 78th minute by Ryan Thistle and in the 85th minute by Santi Rossi to bring the game to its 2-1 final score.

Orzechowski's goal on Friday was his team-best fifth goal of the season, which is tied for fourth in the GSC this season. Pruitte's assist was the first of his collegiate career.

UAH recorded four shots on goal in the contest – led by Orzechowski's two shots on target – while also earning two corner kick opportunities.

Ethan Haworth played the full time in goal for the Chargers with two saves, and he was aided by 90-minute efforts by
Gabe Restrepo,
Harvey Hewson,
Justin Alcantara,
Charlie Garrison and
Wesley Atoyebi.
