PENSACOLA, Fla. | The UAH volleyball team fell in the championship match at the Gulf South Conference Volleyball Championships on Sunday afternoon against No. 1 seed West Florida 3-1 (24-26, 13-25, 25-17, 25-14).
The Chargers were the first team to take a set from the Argos since October 25th as UWF has swept their way through the month of November during the regular season and in the semifinals of the GSC Volleyball Championship.
UAH held a 17-9 advantage in the first set before the Argos went on a 17-7 run to end the first frame to down the Chargers 26-24. The Chargers would win their first set in the third as they hit .458 in a 25-17 set victory.
Caroline Moyer paced the Chargers with 15 kills and a .282 hitting percentage in the match as
Savannah Rutledge led the way in assists with 22 as
Ashleigh Murr added 17.
Three Chargers had double-digit digs as
Tatiana Bonilla,
Hailey Holshouser, and Rutledge each topped the 10 digs mark.
Bonilla and Moyer each earned GSC All-Tournament team honors for their efforts during the GSC Volleyball Championship.
The Blue & White await the NCAA Selection Show to decide their fate on whether they will continue to the Division II South Regional.
