BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Gulf South Conference announced its 2024 women's soccer season awards on Friday, and UAH was represented by Jayla Gillespie as a Second Team All-GSC honoree.
 
This is Gillespie's second straight All-GSC award, as she becomes the third Charger since 2015 to earn all-league honors in back-to-back seasons.
 
A native of Decatur, Alabama, Gillespie led the Chargers offense with 12 points from five goals and two assists in the 2024 campaign. Three of her five goals were game-winners to rank tied for second in the league this season.
 
In her career, the junior owns 34 points from 15 goals and four assists across 50 games through three full seasons.
 
UAH ended the wrapped up the regular season this past weekend at Charger Park, as the Chargers finished the year at 5-8-3 overall and 4-5-3 in GSC play.
