Women's Basketball Posts First Win under Head Coach Allen Sharpe with Victory over Rollins

LAKELAND, Fla. | The UAH women's basketball team earned the first win under first-year head coach Allen Sharpe with a 55-54 victory over Rollins on Saturday morning in nonconference action on the campus of Florida Southern. UAH improves to 1-1, while RC slides to 0-2.
 
Lili Wilken guided the Chargers offense in the close victory on Saturday with a team-high 15 points to go along with four rebounds and three assists across a roster-best 36 minutes on the floor. She shot 6-for-13 from the field that included a 3-for-8 mark on three-pointers.
 
Alexis Woods pulled down 13 rebounds to lead the Chargers on the boards, while also notching six points and a block against the Tars. Woods led UAH to outrebound Rollins 49-39 in the contest.
 
Overall, 10 different Chargers had at least two rebounds on Saturday.
 
Mia Hollingsworth also had a strong all-around performance for UAH on Saturday, posting nine points and five rebounds in the victory.
 
In the contest, UAH held the edge over Rollins in second chance points (13-5) and points in the paint (30-24).
 
The Chargers look ahead to their home-opening matchup at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall next Sunday at 4 p.m. against Tuskegee.
