HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's lacrosse team defeated the visiting Tusculum Pioneers by an 18-9 score on Friday night at Charger Park. UAH improves to 2-1 on the season while TU drops to 0-2.
A total of four Chargers had two or more goals in the victory, led byÂ
David Friend with a team-high five goals to go along with one assist and four ground balls.

Pete Fabrizio had four goals in the victory while bothÂ
Jacob Thomas and
Nate Duncan had two tallies to round out UAH's multi-goal scorers.

Will Bond had a strong game defensively with a team-high four caused turnovers and two ground balls to go with it.

Tommy Peer earned the win for the Chargers in goal, posting four saves. His record moves to 2-1 in his freshman season and has played all 180 minutes in goal for the Chargers so far this season.Â
UAH additionally held the edge over Tusculum in shots on goal (39-13), ground balls (36-26), and caused turnovers (16-6).

The Chargers are back in action at Charger Park on Sunday with a 3 p.m. matchup against Young Harris.
