EVANSVILLE, Ind. | The UAH softball team wrapped up the weekend slate at the Blue Ridge Battle, hosted by Kentucky Wesleyan, on Sunday with an 8-0 victory over McKendree and a 9-1 win against Findlay. UAH improves to 13-5 overall this season with today's wins.

The Chargers look ahead to taking on No. 1 North Georgia in Dahlonega, Georgia, in a doubleheader Wednesday at 12 p.m.

UAH 8, MCKENDREE 0 (5 innings)
The Chargers took an early 1-0 lead in the first against McKendree before erupting for a seven-run rally in the top of the fifth that propelled UAH to the 8-0 win in five innings to start Sunday's slate.

Alexa Douthitt drove in a team-high four RBI, as her day was highlighted by a three-RBI triple in the fifth inning.

Lawren Hayes went 2-for-3 out of the leadoff spot with two runs and two RBI, while
Maddie Cartron and
Kaylee Vaught both had one double and one RBI apiece in the victory.

Grace O'Berry started and earned the win for the Chargers, turning in 4.0 shutout innings with four strikeouts.
Josie Thompson finished off the fifth inning with one strikeout.

UAH 9, FINDLAY 1 (5 innings)
The Chargers broke a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the second with a five-run outburst that featured a three-run home run by
Sadie Thompson which guided UAH to the 9-1 win in five innings over the Oilers.
Â
Thompson's home run was her first of the season and third of her career, as she finished the game 1-for-2 with two runs, three RBI and one walk.
Â
Douthitt led the team in hits with a 3-for-3 day at the plate, with
Lawren Hayes,
Kaylee Vaught and
Laura Harbin chipping in two hits apiece.

One of Hayes' two hits went for a triple, while Vaught rated second on the UAH offense with two RBI.

Jessie Cole started for the Chargers with 2.0 innings and one run allowed, while
Josie Thompson finished the final 3.0 innings with no runs allowed and three strikeouts.
