ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. | The No. 12 UAH softball team capped off its Sunshine State road trip to start the 2024 season with a thrilling 1-0 victory at Eckerd in 10 innings on Sunday afternoon. UAH improves to 3-2, while EC slides to 2-3.

Katie Bracken was dialed in from the circle again in her third start of the weekend, holding Eckerd to zero runs in a one-hit, 10-inning shutout performance on Sunday. Her record improves to 3-0 this season.

In three games this weekend, Bracken tossed 24.0 innings with 23 strikeouts and zero earned runs while holding the opposition to a .128 batting average with just two extra-base hits.

Maddie Cartron provided the go-ahead run in the top of the 10th with a solo home run to right, which is her eighth career home run in the Blue & White. Cartron led the Chargers last season with seven round-trippers.

Alexa Douthitt registered UAH's lone multi-hit day at the plate with a 2-for-5 performance, while
Jada Henderson reached base three times with one hit and two walks.
