Men's Basketball Drops Thursday Night Matchup at Delta State

CLEVELAND, Miss. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's basketball team dropped a 90-77 decision in a road matchup at Delta State on Thursday evening. UAH moves to 14-8 (12-6 GSC), while DSU improves to 12-10 (10-8 GSC).

Daniel Saylor matched his career high with 17 points on 8-for-10 shooting from the field to lead the UAH offense on the night. The junior forward recorded four rebounds and added one block on the defensive side of things.

Jack Kostel and Tommy Murr each scored in double figures for UAH with 13 and 11 points respectively. Kostel was 6-for-7 from the charity stripe while Murr was a flawless 7-for-7 and he also grabbed a team-best seven rebounds on the night.

Kostel's seven assists were the most for the Chargers and is the fourth time this season that the junior guard has dished out seven or more assists in a game.

UAH will continue the weekend road trip with a visit to Mississippi College on Saturday afternoon to take on the Choctaws. Tip is set for 4 p.m.
