BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Gulf South Conference announced its weekly award winners on Tuesday, and UAH Women's Lacrosse had two representatives as
Riley Kirby was named the GSC Defensive Player of the Week while
Kourtney Bauroth has been selected as the GSC Freshman Player of the Week.
This is the second career GSC weekly honor for both Kirby and Bauroth.
Kirby received honors after a weekend in which she caused nine total turnovers in games against Ashland and Thomas More. She ranks second in the GSC in caused turnovers with 2.29 per game. The Milton, Florida, native also hauled in six ground balls against Ashland and three against Thomas More for nine total on the weekend.
Bauroth has increased her goal total for the season to 18 with a nine goal weekend against the Eagles and Saints. The freshman from Simi Valley, California, also recorded two assists against Thomas More on Sunday.
UAH is back in action tomorrow as they travel to Gatlinburg, Tennessee for a matchup with Tusculum at 3 p.m.
