HUNTSVILLE | The UAH softball team completed its fourth consecutive Gulf South Conference series sweep with two wins by scores of 15-2 and 2-1 over Shorter in a doubleheader Saturday at Charger Park. UAH improves to 33-12 (18-6 GSC), while SU slides to 2-42 (1-26 GSC).

UAH rises to 14-0 at Charger Park this season with Saturday's victories, as the Chargers now look ahead to a road series at West Alabama next weekend.

UAH 15, SU 2
After both sides plated one run apiece in the first inning, UAH erupted for 12 runs in the bottom of the second that carried the Chargers to the 15-1 win over the Hawks.

UAH amassed seven extra-base hits in the victory, including home runs by
Kaylee Vaught,
Laura Harbin,
Maddie Cartron and
Kylee Smith.
Jada Henderson had two doubles for both of her hits in game one on Saturday, while
Lawren Hayes contributed the squad's lone triple.

Harbin finished the contest at a team-high four RBI, aided by her two-run home run in the fourth inning.

Alexa Douthitt tied with Henderson and Vaught for the team lead in base hits with two apiece between the trio, with UAH posting 12 hits as a team.

Katie Bracken started for the Chargers, turning in 4.0 innings with one run allowed and three strikeouts. Her record rises to 14-4 with the win.

This was the 13th time this season UAH has scored 10 runs or more.

UAH 2, SU 1
The Chargers came from behind to win the series finale 2-1, as one run in the sixth forced extra innings where
Kaylee Vaught delivered a walk-off RBI single to center in the bottom of the eighth.

Josie Thompson earned the win in the circle for the Chargers, turning in 5.0 shutout innings of relief with four strikeouts. Her record improves to 12-5.

Four Chargers had multi-hit games in the sweep-sealing win, led by
Alexa Douthitt who went 3-for-4 with one run scored.
Lawren Hayes,
Jada Henderson and
Sadie Thompson each had two hits apiece, with Hayes recording the lone extra-base hit by UAH with a triple.

UAH was active on the base paths with seven stolen bases as a team, guided by Henderson with three swipes.
