Men's Lacrosse Breaks Records in 30-6 Win Over Shorter

HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's lacrosse team won in a record-breaking Senior Day at Charger Park, defeating Shorter by a 30-6 score. UAH improves to 7-8 (2-2 PBC) while the Hawks slide to 8-8 (0-4 PBC).

The 30 goals scored by the Chargers are the most in a single game in program history and the 24-goal margin of victory is also a new program record. In addition, the 36 combined goals from the two teams broke the record set with Saint Leo back in 2019.

Bryce Ferraro led the potent UAH offense with a trio of goals in the contest and eight different Chargers recorded two-goal games.

20 total UAH players registered goals in the rout of the Hawks.

Trevor Redmond got plenty done on the defensive side of the ball causing three turnovers from Shorter and picking up seven ground balls. Richie Mohr hauled in a team-high eight ground balls while going 12-for-17 on faceoffs.

UAH had 60 shots on goal in the game, another new record for the program, and Huntsville's Team capitalized on Shorter penalties, going 4-for-6 in extra-man opportunities.

The Chargers featured four goalies on the day with Tommy Peer starting and logging 30 minutes of game action making two saves in the contest.

UAH will now await seeding for the Peach Belt Conference Men's Lacrosse Championship that will begin on May 3rd.
