HUNTSVILLE | The UAH softball team wrapped up the 2024 regular season with a doubleheader split against Union on Senior Day at Charger Park with a 14-0 loss in game one followed by a 6-2 victory in the night cap. UAH moves to 37-14 (22-8 GSC), while UU's record now stands at 28-21 (16-14 GSC).

The Chargers now look ahead to the 2024 Gulf South Conference Softball Championships from May 1-4 next week at Choccolocco Park in Oxford, Alabama. The GSC will announce the tournament bracket and schedule following the conclusion of the league's regular season slate on Sunday.

UNION 14, UAH 0
The Bulldogs rallied for three or more runs in the second, third and fourth inning to take game two 14-0 on Saturday.

Grace O'Berry started in the circle for the Chargers, turning in 2.0 innings with four earned runs allowed and three strikeouts. She took the loss to drop to 7-3 on the year.

Lawren Hayes and
Sadie Thompson both recorded a base hit and a steal to lead the Chargers offensively.

UAH 6, UNION 2
Katie Bracken tossed the full 7.0 innings with two runs allowed and nine strikeouts to lead the Chargers to the 6-2 victory in game two on Saturday. Her record rises to 15-4 with the win.

UAH's day at the plate was highlighted by a three-run bottom of the third that featured a two-RBI double by
Maddie Cartron. She ended the game with a team-high two RBI while recording her ninth double of the season.

Cartron additionally stole a team-high two bases in the win.

Jada Henderson reached base three times in the contest, going 1-for-2 with one run, one RBI and two walks.

Jessica Edde and
Lawren Hayes both went 1-for-3 with one run scored and one RBI, with Hayes also recording a walk.

UAH finishes the regular season with a 16-1 record at Charger Park.
