TRUSSVILLE, Ala. | The UAH softball team was tripped up on the road in a midweek nonconference doubleheader against No. 17 Auburn Montgomery, dropping the first game 5-4 before conceding the second contest by a 9-7 final. UAH slips to 26-11 (12-6 GSC), while AUM improves to 29-9 (16-5 GSC).

Auburn Montgomery came out on the winning end of the first game of the doubleheader by a score of 5-4 with a solo homerun in the bottom of the sixth by Margaret Morgan.

The Chargers came from behind to tie the contest in the top of the sixth on a two-run shot by Sadie Thompson, which is the 10th homerun of the season for the junior outfielder.

Thompson led the way for Huntsville's Team in hits with a 2-for-3 outing, driving in three of the four Charger runs.

Katie Bracken struck out seven batters in six innings of work, the eighth time this campaign that she has struck out seven or more opposing hitters.

The Warhawks took game two of the doubleheader 9-7 after producing a four-run rally in the top of the sixth frame, and would hold on to the victory despite the Chargers scoring three runs in the following bottom half.

Four Chargers produced multi-hit performances in game two, highlighted by Alexa Douthitt's two RBI which both came from singles up the middle.

Grace O'Berry started in the circle for the Chargers, turning in 4.0 innings with five earned runs allowed and two strikeouts while Josie Thompson struck out four batters in her 3.0 innings of work.
