HUNTSVILLE | The UAH men's soccer team is set for its home-opening matches at Charger Park on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. against Palm Beach Atlantic and Sunday at 1 p.m. against Georgia Southwestern. Thursday's kickoff was moved up to 10:30 a.m. from 7 p.m. due to heavy rains later in the day.

The Gulf South Conference and FloSports agreed to expand live streaming coverage to soccer in the 2024 season, with all UAH home games and road GSC contests being exclusively streamed on FloFC.Â

The Chargers enter their first game of 2024 at Charger Park with a record of 1-1-0, after opening up the campaign on Friday night with a 3-1 loss at Florida Southern, followed by a 4-0 win over Eckerd on Sunday.

Charlie Garrison netted the lone goal in the loss against FSC, while
Xavier Martin, Mille Ericksson,
Oli Orzechowski, and
Stellios Starakis all scored in the shutout victory over EC.

Sonny Wright started both games last week, totaling nine saves and only allowing three goals in 180 minutes.

Palm Beach Atlantic has started off their 2024 campaign 1-0-0 with a 6-1 win over Spring Hill on Saturday afternoon. Last season, PBA sported a 6-8-2 overall record and a 3-6-1 mark in Sunshine State Conference action. UAH holds a 0-2-0 all-time record against PBA.Â
Georgia Southwestern starts off the season 1-0-1, with a 6-0 win over Middle Georgia State and a 2-2 tie against Embry-Riddle last week. UAH holds a 5-0 record over GSW, outscoring the Hurricanes 15-3 in those matches.

After this week's home-opening matches, UAH heads into GSC play as they are set to host Trevecca Nazarene next Friday at 7:30 p.m.
