HUNTSVILLE | The UAH men's soccer team dropped Friday night's Gulf South Conference opener by a score of 2-0 to visiting Trevecca Nazarene at Charger Park. UAH slides to 1-2-2 (0-1-0 GSC), while TNU improves to 2-2-1 (1-0-0 GSC).

Trevecca Nazarene started the scoring early with an 8th-minute goal by Chris Douglas, as the Trojans would take a 1-0 lead into halftime.

The Trojans went on to add one more goal in the second half at the 75th minute by Douglas again, which would bring the match to its 2-0 final score.

Ethan Haworth played the majority of time in goal for the Chargers, after spelling
Sonny Wright in the 14th minute following a red card. Haworth posted five saves across his 76 minutes in goal with one goal allowed.

Wright faced two shots and allowed one goal in his 14 minutes of work on Friday.

The Chargers recorded two shots on goal against the Trojans, with Olli Orzechowski,
Justin Alcantara, and
Gabe Restrepo each notching one apiece.

Wesley Atoyebi and
Harvey Hewson were the lone Chargers to play the full 90 minutes on Friday.
