BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Gulf South Conference announced its weekly women's soccer award winners, and the UAH women's soccer team was represented by Michella Tortelli as GSC Freshman of the Week.
 
This is Tortelli's first career weekly honor from the GSC.
 
A Novi, Michigan, native, Tortelli supplied the game-tying goal – the first in her collegiate career – for the Chargers in the second half of Sunday's 1-1 tie at Lee.
 
Tortelli also played 41 minutes in Friday's 2-0 victory over Trevecca Nazarene to open GSC play at Charger Park.
