LAKELAND, Fla. | The UAH men's soccer team starts the 2024 campaign on the road in the Sunshine State with weekend matches slated at Florida Southern on Friday at 6 p.m. CT and Eckerd on Sunday at 12 p.m. CT.

The Chargers embark on the new campaign after going 6-5-6 overall and 4-2-5 in Gulf South Conference play last year, which was the first time since 2018 UAH had winning records in both overall and conference action.

John Carrier returns two of the top three offensive leaders on the team from 2023, including
Michael Weston who was second on the roster with three goals to go along with one assist.
Kieran Rowe also returns who was third on the team with six points from two goals and a team-best two assists.

Ethan Haworth – who started all 17 games last season – is back for his senior campaign as he delivered a 1.59 goals against average last year to go along with 39 saves. He recorded a total of five shutouts last year, which was only the eighth time in program history a Charger goalie achieved five or more shutouts.

Florida Southern is coming off a 5-6-6 overall record last year that included a 3-3-4 mark in Sunshine State Conference play, with the Mocs boasting eight players with two goals or more. FSC's goalies posted a 1.47 goals against average for the 2023 season.

Eckerd owned a 5-6-4 overall record and a 3-5-2 SSC mark in the 2023 season, as the Tritons averaged 1.33 goals per game led by Fredrik Heise with four markers. EC's goalies registered a 1.73 goals against average last season.

UAH holds all-time series records of 3-12-2 against Florida Southern and 7-1-2 against Eckerd.

After this weekend's road matches, the Chargers open play at Charger Park next week with visits from Palm Beach Atlantic on Thursday and Georgia Southwestern on Sunday.
