Box Score LAKELAND, Fla. | The UAH men's soccer team kicked off their 2024 campaign traveling to the Sunshine State to take on the Florida Southern Moccasins on Friday eveningm, falling 3-1 in the road contest. UAH starts the season 0-1-0, while FSC improves to 1-0-0.
FSC got on the board first with three goals in the first half with markers by Darcy Moffat in the 22nd minute twice and Sander Trovor in the 44th minute. Despite picking up three corner kick opportunities, UAH went into the half trailing 3-0.
After a two-hour weather delay, UAH got on the board with a goal off the foot of
Charlie Garrison, assisted by
Gabe Restrepo. Garrison picked up his second goal of his collegiate career. The Chargers defense held the Mocs scoreless through the second half, making it a final score of 3-1.
Sonny Wright got his first collegiate start in the net, playing all 90 minutes and picking up his first three saves of the season.Â
UAH will continue their road-trip as they head to St. Petersburg, Florida, to take on the Eckerd Tritons on Sunday at 12 p.m. CT.Â
