Women's Basketball Wins Sixth Straight at VSU Monday in Dominant Fashion

VALDOSTA, Ga. | The UAH women's basketball team notched a dominant 68-47 victory on the road at Valdosta State on Monday afternoon in Gulf South Conference action. UAH improves to 16-3 (11-2 GSC), while VSU slides to 11-8 (6-7 GSC).
 
Junior Lili Wilken guided the Chargers in Monday's road victory with a team-high 17 points and nine rebounds across 32 minutes on the floor. Wilken shot 6-for-11 from the field and 2-for-4 on three-pointers, while also dishing out two assists.
 
Wilken was joined in double-digit scoring by Ivey Maddox with 14 points and Haley Nichols with 13 points, as Nichols also had a strong all-around performance with seven rebounds, four assists and one steal.
 
Bella White posted a team-high seven assists in addition to adding four points, four rebounds and one steal in her roster-leading 35 minutes of action.
 
UAH shot 48.1 percent (26-54) from the field and 39.1 percent (9-23) on three-pointers, while limiting Valdosta State to 37.3 percent (19-51) on field goals for the contest. The Chargers also held the edge in rebounds (37-23), points in the paint (30-18) and second chance points (9-3).
 
This win was UAH's sixth consecutive victory.
 
The Chargers return to the Rocket City for two games this week with matchups at Spragins Hall slated against Lee on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. followed by Trevecca Nazarene on Saturday at 2 p.m.
