No. 6 Men's Basketball Hosts First Home Games of 2025 Thursday and Saturday

HUNTSVILLE | The No. 6 UAH men's basketball team is putting a 13 game winning streak on the line this week in Gulf South Conference play as they are set to host Montevallo on Thursday night at 7:30 PM and Auburn Montgomery on Saturday afternoon at 4 PM at Kelly Court in Spragins Hall.

The Chargers get back in action with a 13-1 (8-0 GSC) record after going 2-0 last week as they narrowly defeated Union 82-81 with some late-game heroics from Blake Campbell and took down Christian Brothers 89-72. Campbell combined for a 19-for-28 shooting performance from the field in the last two games, while Matt Thurman put up a career-high 19 points in the win against CBU.

UAH is first in the GSC in team field goal percentage (52.5 percent) and first in the league in opponent field goal percentage, holding the opposition to just 41.6 percent from the field. The Chargers also sit atop the league in three point percentage at 40.2 percent. 

Three Chargers rank inside the top 12 in points per game, with Tommy Murr atop the list at 19.7 points per game, Luke Burnett in ninth at 17.5 points per game, and Campbell at 12th with 15.9 points per game. 
 
Montevallo visits Huntsville with a 10-3 (6-1 GSC) record after dropping their first conference game against AUM last week 93-85. The Falcons rank fourth in the conference in scoring at 81.9 points per game and third in the league in team field goal percentage (47.6 percent).
 
AUM will take on West Alabama before visiting Spragins Hall and holds a 6-6 (3-4 GSC) record. The Warhawks hold the fourth best opponent field goal percentage in the GSC, with opposition shooting at a 44.2 percent clip. They also rank fourth in turnover margin a 3.33. 
 
UAH holds all-time series records of 45-38 against Montevallo and 24-21 against AUM.
 
After this week's games, the Chargers wrap up the three-game homestand next Saturday with Military Appreciation Day, presented by AUSA and Radiance Technologies, against West Alabama at 2 p.m.
