HUNTSVILLE, Ala. | Game No. 7 at home proved unlucky for the UAH men's soccer team, as the Chargers fell to Mississippi College on Friday night. The loss snapped UAH's home unbeaten streak at six.
It took just seven minutes for the Choctaws to get on the board, as Russell Berko's header found the back of the net to make it 1-0. The score remained unchanged through halftime.
UAH evened the match early in the second half when Oli Orzechowski scored from close range to make it 1-1, giving the home crowd hope for a comeback. However, Mississippi College reclaimed the lead in the 65th minute when Lewis Matton netted the eventual game-winner, handing the Chargers a 2-1 defeat.
The Chargers won't have to wait long to return to action at Charger Park, as they host Delta State on Sunday, Oct. 19, at 3:30 p.m. Admission is free courtesy of Alabama Credit Union.
