NASHVILLE | The UAH volleyball team made a road trip to the Music City to take on Gulf South Conference opponent Trevecca Nazarene on Friday evening and won 3-1 (17-25 | 26-24 | 25-15 | 27-25) to win their seventh straight match.
The Chargers improved to 17-4 (9-3 GSC) while the Trojans dropped to 16-6 (10-3 GSC).
Zoe Smith led the UAH offense with 13 kills while
Kayla Ward joined Smith in double digits with 11 kills on a .333 attack percentage.
Cooper Garrett and
Anna Clare Hutto each totaled 22 assists to lead the Chargers in the category.
Defensively, the Chargers outpaced the Trojans 13 blocks to five, as
Mary Grace Bundrant led the way with two solo blocks a five block assists. Ward added a solo block and four block assists, while
Sydney Durban led UAH in digs with 15 on the match.
Next up for the Chargers is a matchup at Lee on Saturday at 2 p.m. central in Cleveland, Tennessee.
