HUNTSVILLE, Ala. | UAH men's soccer remained unbeaten at home after Friday night's match ended in a 1-1 draw with Montevallo.
After 60 minutes of scoreless play, Phillip Seifert gave UAH a 1-0 lead with his fifth goal of the season, converting the Chargers' first penalty kick of the year.
Goalkeeper Sonny Wright had a strong performance, recording three saves before receiving a red card in the 72nd minute. He was replaced by sophomore Donny Cruz, and three minutes later, Montevallo's Tomas Prieto scored the equalizer to make it 1-1 — the score that held until the final whistle.
UAH now sits at 4-1-2 overall and 1-1-1 in GSC play. The Chargers will return to action Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at Charger Park, hosting AUM.
