Huntsville, Ala. – UAH women's soccer played to a 2-2 draw against Auburn Montgomery on Friday evening at Charger Park. The result moves the Chargers to 4-2-2 overall and 2-1-1 in Gulf South Conference play, while AUM goes to 1-4-2 (0-2-2 GSC).
Ashley Wells put UAH in front early, scoring her first goal of the season in the 11th minute. The Chargers doubled the lead in the 64th when Michella Tortelli found the back of the net with an assist from Carley White.
The Warhawks quickly cut the deficit to one, as Chloe Wallace scored in the 65th minute, before Aisling Roche equalized in the 87th to secure the draw.
UAH generated a 15-8 advantage in shots, including 8 on goal compared to 3 for AUM. The Chargers also led 2-1 in corner kicks.
The Chargers turn their focus to a conference matchup against Valdosta State on October 5th at 1 p.m.
