Volleyball Primed for 2025 GSC Volleyball Championship

HUNTSVILLE | The No. 3 seed UAH volleyball team is preparing to open the Gulf South Conference Volleyball Championship on Friday at 6:30 p.m. in Pensacola, Florida, on the campus of West Florida against No. 7 seeded Christian Brothers who defeated Valdosta State on Tuesday evening in a 3-0 sweep.

The Chargers wrapped up the regular season at 23-6 (15-5 GSC) after a sweep of AUM to wrap up the conference slate. Friday's match will stream live on FloCollege, along with the entire GSC Volleyball Championship.

UAH and CBU split their season series against one another, with the Chargers winning in a sweep at home in the first match, while the Bucs claimed a home sweep over the Blue & White.

All-GSC First Team honorees Caroline Moyer and Zoe Smith highlighted the Charger offense during the regular season, with the duo recording over 300 kills apiece. Moyer posted 345 kills with a .242 attack percentage, while Smith smashed 329 kills with a .189 hitting percentage.

GSC Freshman of the Year and All-GSC Second Teamer Sydney Durban led the defensive side with 450 digs, while Smith added 340 for second on the team. Mary Grace Bundrant had 91 blocks to lead UAH in the rejection category.

The winner of Friday's match will take on No. 2 seed Trevecca Nazarene in the semifinals of the GSC Volleyball Championship on Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
