HUNTSVILLE | The UAH volleyball team hosted Gulf South Conference opponent West Alabama on Wednesday evening and defeated the Tigers 3-1 (25-13 | 25-17 | 18-25 | 25-17) to win their 11th straight match of the season dating back to October 3.
The Chargers are now 21-4 (13-3 GSC) with the victory, while West Alabama dropped to 10-14 (5-11 GSC) with the loss.
UAH outpaced the Tigers in kills 56-to-32 and were led by
Mary Grace Bundrant who tallied 10 kills, a solo block, and a block assist with a .476 attack percentage.
Zoe Smith added nine kills, while
Caroline Moyer and
Carlee Lowry totaled eight apiece.
Anna Clare Hutto led the way in assists for the Chargers as she put up 29 in the match and had three aces.
Hutto additionally led the Charger defense in digs as she totaled 14 on the match, while
Sydney Durban contributed 12 digs in the win. Seven different Chargers notched block assists in the match.
UAH wraps up their regular season schedule with four straight road matches, beginning with a trip to Jackson, Tennessee to take on Union on Friday, November 7 at 6 p.m.
