MEMPHIS, Tenn. | UAH men's soccer begins postseason play Sunday afternoon, traveling to Memphis to face Christian Brothers in the first round of the Gulf South Conference Tournament. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. at Signaigo Field.
The Chargers return to the GSC Tournament for the first time since 2023 after missing postseason play last season. UAH earned the No. 5 seed with an 8-3-4 (5-3-3 GSC) record, while Christian Brothers enters as the No. 4 seed.
Sunday's matchup will be a rematch of the Oct. 12 meeting in Memphis, where CBU edged UAH 1-0. Both teams feature two of the conference's top goalkeepers, as UAH's Sonny Wright ranks second in the GSC with five shutouts, while CBU's Sebastian Torka is third with six.
Two Chargers earned All-GSC honors ahead of the postseason. Senior defender Harvey Hewson and junior forward Oli Orzechowski were each named to the All-GSC Second Team following standout regular seasons.
The winner of Sunday's match will advance to the GSC semifinals to face the winner between No. 1 seed Mississippi College and No. 8 seed Trevecca. The semifinals and championship will be held in Huntsville on Nov. 14 and 16 at the Loretta P. Spencer Sports Complex Championship Field.
