HUNTSVILLE, Ala. | Riding a five-game winning streak and a 2–0 start in Gulf South Conference play, UAH women's basketball returns home to SportsMED Arena in Spragins Hall this week for its first conference games on its home floor. The Chargers will host Trevecca on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. and Lee on Saturday at 2 p.m.
UAH enters the week at 6–3 overall and a perfect 3–0 at home, coming off road victories at West Florida and Valdosta State to open league competition. Those performances helped senior guard Lili Wilken earn her fourth career GSC Player of the Week honor. Wilken averaged 27.0 points and 10.0 rebounds across the two wins and continues to lead the GSC in scoring at 23.5 points per game.
The Chargers' efficiency has been a major factor in their early-season success. UAH ranks second in the conference in scoring (78.6 PPG), and leads the GSC in both margin of victory (17.3) and team field-goal percentage (47.0%). The team also sits second in three-point percentage (34.5%) and three-pointers made (69). Individually, Ivey Maddox leads the GSC in three-point percentage (44.4%), while Millie Brown ranks third in made threes with 17.
Trevecca enters Thursday's matchup at 5–1 (2–0 GSC) with the top defense in the conference, allowing just 55.2 points per game. The Trojans also lead the league in opponent field-goal percentage (34.3%) and are second in margin of victory (16.0). Offensively, they are powered by Cheyenne Trotter, who ranks second in the GSC in scoring (17.7 PPG) and leads the conference in rebounding at 11.5 per game.
On Saturday, UAH faces a strong Lee squad that also sits at 5–1 (2–0 GSC). The Flames are led by forward Anna Muhonen, who tops the GSC in blocks (2.2 per game), ranks second in rebounds (9.5), and is third in scoring (16.3). She is joined by Libby Privett, who is fourth in the league at 15.0 points per game, giving Lee one of the most productive scoring duos in the conference.
The Chargers look to maintain their momentum, protect their unbeaten home record, and build on a strong start to conference play during a pivotal two-game stretch inside Spragins Hall.
