HUNTSVILLE, Ala. | UAH women's basketball delivered a dominant performance Tuesday afternoon, rolling past LaGrange 84–34 inside SportsMED Arena at Spragins Hall to secure its 10th consecutive win.
The victory tied the program record for most consecutive wins, matching a 10-game streak achieved from Jan. 23, 2020, through Feb. 20, 2020.
UAH set the tone defensively from the opening tip, forcing 18 turnovers that turned into 27 points off turnovers. The Chargers were also relentless on the offensive glass, collecting 18 offensive rebounds—the second time this season they have reached that mark—and converting those chances into 17 second-chance points.
Freshman Ava McSwain, the reigning GSC Freshman of the Week, led all scorers with 16 points. McSwain jump-started the Chargers by scoring UAH's first nine points of the contest.
Off the bench, Mia Hollingsworth provided a major spark, finishing with 15 points while shooting 3-for-5 from three-point range. Lili Wilken also reached double figures, adding 10 points as UAH placed consistent pressure on LaGrange throughout the afternoon.
With the win, the Chargers carry their momentum back into Gulf South Conference play. UAH will host defending GSC Tournament champion Union on Friday at 5:30 p.m. inside SportsMED Arena at Spragins Hall.
