HUNTSVILLE, Ala. | UAH women's basketball delivered a historic performance Friday night, defeating Union 88–84 in overtime inside SportsMED Arena at Spragins Hall to set a new program record with 11 consecutive wins.
The victory also snapped Union's 11-game winning streak against UAH, marking the Chargers' first win over the Bulldogs since Dec. 18, 2020.
UAH was efficient offensively throughout the night, shooting 33-of-66 (50%) from the field, and was nearly flawless when it mattered most. The Chargers went 5-of-7 in overtime to seal the victory and finished 11-of-14 at the free-throw line, missing just one free throw in the second half and overtime combined (7-of-8).
Bella White led all scorers with a standout performance, finishing with 23 points on 9-of-14 shooting (64%), including a perfect 2-for-2 from three-point range and 3-of-4 at the free-throw line.
Lili Wilken recorded another double-double, totaling 21 points and 12 rebounds, while Millie Brown knocked down four three-pointers and added 15 points to give UAH three players scoring 15 or more.
With the win, UAH now holds a two-game lead atop the Gulf South Conference standings.
The Chargers' 11-game winning streak ranks among the best in NCAA Division II, as only four teams nationally currently have longer active streaks — two at 13 wins, one at 12, and one at 24 — with just two other programs matching UAH at 11 straight victories.
UAH will continue its homestand on Sunday at 2 p.m., when the Chargers host Christian Brothers at SportsMED Arena.
