MADISON, Ala. | The UAH softball team fell to No. 11 North Georgia by a final score of 2-1 on Tuesday afternoon to open up the Rocket City Softball Showcase at Toyota Field. UAH slides to 9-6, while UNG rises to 9-4.

Katie Bracken had a strong performance in the circle for the Chargers, as she tossed the full 7.0 innings with two runs allowed and seven strikeouts. After the second inning, she allowed only three batters to reach base in a tightly-contested pitchers' duel on Tuesday.
Maddie Cartron led the UAH offense with a team-high three base hits, which raises her season batting average to .419 through 15 games.
UAH looks ahead to jumping back into Gulf South Conference play with a trip to Cleveland, Tennessee, to take on Lee in a three-game series on Saturday and Sunday.
