MONTGOMERY, Ala. | The No. 3 UAH men's basketball team won their 25th straight game in a high-scoring Gulf South Conference affair on Thursday night with a 106-104 victory over Auburn Montgomery.
The Chargers improved to 25-1 (20-0 GSC) with the victory, while the Warhawks dropped to 9-15 (6-13 GSC).
The win marked the Chargers 20th GSC win this season, which breaks the previous UAH record of 19 conference wins in a season set in 2022-23.
Tommy Murr led the Chargers in both points and assists on Thursday evening as he poured in 41 points on 17-of-23 from the field, dished out eight assists and grabbed six rebounds. The Athens, Alabama, native has scored 97 points in the last three games for UAH.
Blake Campbell tallied six assists on the evening with 12 points along with five rebounds.
Daniel Saylor was second on the team in scoring with 15 points as the Charger big man also hauled in nine boards and blocked three AUM shots.
Saylor moved into 10th place all-time in GSC history in blocked shots for his career with 147 total.
The Blue & White held a 19-to-5 advantage in bench points as
Graham Martin and
Matt Thurman poured in 19 points for UAH. The Warhawks controlled the offensive glass with a 13-to-4 advantage, along with the turnover battle 10-to-2.
UAH will head to Montevallo on Saturday for their penultimate regular season game.
