No. 3 Men's Basketball Extends Win Streak to 26 Games with Win Against Montevallo

MONTEVALLO, Ala. | The No. 3 UAH men's basketball team won their 26th straight game in a Gulf South Conference road contest on Saturday with a 96-88 victory over Montevallo. 

The Chargers moved to 26-1 (21-0 GSC) with the win, while the Falcons fell to 17-9 (13-7 GSC). 

The win streak of 26 games is the longest win streak of any program in UAH history across all sports.

Tommy Murr led the way in scoring for the fourth straight game as he tallied 33 points in the win and brought his total from the last four games up to 130 points. The senior from Athens, Alabama, also totaled 10 assists and recorded his second double-double of the season. 

Murr is also 19-for-29 from the field in the last two games and 26-for-26 from the free throw line in UAH's last four games.

Blake Campbell added 16 points in the victory along with seven rebounds in the win. The graduate student also went 4-for-5 from the free throw line. Daniel Saylor went 8-for-9 from the field and scored 16 points in the win as he hauled in eight rebounds and blocked two Montevallo shots.

Dane Harding went 3-for-5 from the field, with all of his attempts being three pointers as he scored 11 points with four rebounds in the win.

The Blue & White outpaced the Falcons from three point land as they shot 51.9 percent to Montevallo's 37.9 percent. UAH also got to the line 17 times and converted 14 makes at the free throw line, while the Falcons had just seven attempts at the line.

UAH will wrap up regular season play as they visit West Alabama on Thursday before beginning postseason play.
