No. 3 Men's Basketball Completes Perfect GSC Regular Season Slate with Win Over West Alabama

LIVINGSTON, Ala. | The No. 3 UAH men's basketball team won their 27th straight game on the road 78-60 against West Alabama and achieved the first perfect Gulf South Conference regular season schedule since Delta State achieved the feat in the 2005-06 season.

The Chargers finished up the regular season with a 27-1 (22-0 GSC) record, while the Tigers finished the year at 13-14 (10-12 GSC).

UAH looks ahead to hosting a first-round matchup of the 2025 Truist GSC Men's Basketball Championships next Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at Spragins Hall. Tickets will go on sale to the public for Tuesday's game tomorrow at 5 p.m. through HomeTown Ticketing.

With Thursday evening's win, the Chargers claimed their best ever regular season record and had a perfect home and road record, with their only loss coming on a neutral court.

Tommy Murr led the way in scoring for the fifth straight game as he put up 23 points in the win. The reigning D-II National Player of the Week is averaging 28.8 points per game over the past six games for UAH and his 23 on Thursday night was in just 24 minutes of play.

Murr finished the regular season with a 50-40-90 (FG%-3P%-FT%) stat line and has made 31 straight free throws.

Daniel Saylor had a monster game against the Tigers as he put up 19 points with 16 rebounds and four blocks. Blake Campbell was the final Charger in double digits as the graduate scored 11 points and added eight rebounds.

The Blue & White outrebounded the Tigers 42-to-32 and held a huge advantage in points-in-the-paint 42-to-10.

UAH will host a first round game in the 2025 Truist GSC Men's Basketball Championship on Tuesday against an opponent still to be determined.
