Women's Lacrosse Edged in Friday Matchup at No. 8 Saint Leo

ST. LEO, Fla. | The UAH women's lacrosse team fell 12-10 at No. 8 Saint Leo on Friday evening in nonconference action. UAH slides to 1-4, while SLU rises to 4-1.
 
UAH and Saint Leo went into halftime with the score tied 6-6, with the Chargers holding the Lions scoreless in the second quarter. SLU went on to outpace UAH 6-4 in the second half to win it 12-10 on Friday.
 
The Chargers offense was guided by reigning Gulf South Conference Freshman of the Week Reagan Flanagan with a team-high three goals. She has now scored a roster-leading 12 goals in her freshman campaign.
 
Both Corinne Baker and Sarah Cole tied for second on the UAH roster with two goals against the Lions, as Cole additionally tied for the team lead with two caused turnovers and three draw controls.
 
Ella Rutherford also had a multi-point performance, posting one goal and one assist to go along with her two ground balls and three draw controls.
 
Isabelle Sawicki played the majority of time in goal for the Chargers, as she limited the Lions to six goals while posting 11 saves and a roster-best seven ground balls in 45 minutes of action.
 
UAH looks ahead to taking on Maryville on Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the Loretta B. Spencer Sports Complex at John Hunt Park in Huntsville, Alabama.
