HUNTSVILLE | The UAH men's lacrosse team was tripped up in Saturday's matchup with No. 16 Saint Leo by a final score of 13-12 at Charger Park. UAH slides to 0-5, while SLU improves to 5-0.

Saint Leo clung to a 6-5 lead at the halftime break, with the Lions and Chargers both scoring seven times between the third and fourth quarters to bring the game to its 13-12 final score.

The Chargers offense was led by
Chris Aiello and
Ryan Craig with three-point performances on two goals and one assist apiece against the Lions.

Pete Fabrizio also had a three-point game, as the senior posted one goal and a team-best two assists. Aiello, Craig and Fabrizio each had two ground balls on Saturday as well.

UAH also benefitted from two-goal performances by both
Will Ford and
Makai Hillmon.

Defensively,
Will Bond and
Hunter Coleman guided the Chargers with two caused turnovers and five ground balls apiece.
Collin Galinski also had two caused turnovers, while Coleman additionally went 10-for-23 on face offs.

Tommy Peer played the full time in goal for the Chargers, with the sophomore posting 12 saves with 13 goals allowed.

Overall, on Saturday, the Chargers went 22-for-28 on clear attempts and picked up 32 ground balls. This was the four time this season UAH has accrued 30 or more ground balls.

UAH returns to Charger Park next Saturday with a nonconference tilt against Rockhurst. Opening face-off next Saturday set for noon.
