CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. | The UAH softball team split a doubleheader against No. 9 North Georgia in a neutral-site matchup on Wednesday with the Nighthawks winning the opener 8-2 before the Chargers took game two 11-2. UAH moves to 17-17, while UNG's overall record is now 29-6.

UAH jumps back into Gulf South Conference play this weekend at Delta State with a doubleheader on Friday at 3 p.m. followed by the series finale Saturday at 1 p.m.

Game one: UNG 8, UAH 2
The Nighthawks scored two runs apiece in the first three innings of the contest on the way to winning 8-2 over the Chargers to start the doubleheader.

UAH's lone offense of the contest came in the fifth inning on a two-RBI double by
Maddie Cartron, who finished the day 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Jada Henderson also had a multi-hit performance, going 2-for-4 with one run.

Jessie Cole tossed the full 6.0 innings for the Chargers with eight runs allowed and one strikeout. Her record slides to 0-1 with the loss.

Game two: UAH 11, UNG 2
The Chargers started hot with a four-run rally in the first inning followed by three runs in the second inning that carried UAH to an 11-2 win to split the doubleheader on Wednesday.

Cartron again highlighted the Chargers offense with a team-high four RBI, as she went 2-for-3 with a home run. She hit her team-high eighth homer of the season as part of the four-run first inning.

Sadie Thompson also had a strong game at the plate for UAH, going 2-for-4 with two runs and a homer. She keyed the second-inning rally with her second round-tripper in 2025.

Henderson notched two base hits – including her 13
th double of the season – again out of the lead-off spot, while also plating a team-high three runs.

Lydia West started in the circle for UAH, working 3.1 innings with two runs allowed.
Katie Bracken excelled out of the bullpen, as she tossed the final 2.2 innings with no runs allowed and one strikeout.
