BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Gulf South Conference announced its women's lacrosse awards for the 2025 season, and the UAH women's lacrosse team was represented by
Sarah Cole as GSC Midfielder of the Year and
Ella Rutherford as GSC Freshman of the Year in addition to five All-GSC honorees.

UAH had three players voted First Team All-GSC including Cole, Rutherford and
Sydney Schiavone, while
Talitha Goodman and
Maya Bronson were named Second Team All-GSC.

Cole led the Chargers offense and was first overall in the GSC with 48 goals scored, as she also rated second in the league with 56 total points thanks to eight assists in 2025. She additionally ranks in the top five of the GSC with 34 ground balls, 25 caused turnovers and 58 draw controls.

Rutherford had an outstanding first collegiate season, ranking fifth in the GSC with 50 total points from 28 goals and a team-high 22 assists. She also was in the top 10 of the league with 36 ground balls and 33 draw controls this season.

Bronson was also an offensive standout for the Chargers in 2025, as the junior rated third on the roster with 41 points from 22 goals and 19 assists. She additionally contributed 27 ground balls and 20 draw controls.

Goodman and Schiavone helped guide the Chargers defense, as the duo both ranked in the top 10 in the GSC with 20 caused turnovers and 19 caused turnovers, respectively.

UAH looks ahead to the first round of the 2025 GSC Women's Lacrosse Championships on Friday at 2 p.m. as the third seed against second-seeded Lander at John Hunt Park in Huntsville, Alabama.
