HUNTSVILLE | The UAH volleyball team won their final match of the GSC/PBC Crossover on Friday afternoon against Lander 3-1 (25-21 | 25-19 | 21-25 | 25-22).
The win marks the 400th career victory for head coach
Jon Moseley and is the eighth straight win for the Chargers prior to conference play kicking off next week.
The Chargers were led offensively by
Caroline Moyer in kills as the senior from Centerville, Ohio posted 22 kills on a .333 attack percentage.
Carlee Lowry added nine kills with a .400 attack percentage as
Zoe Smith joined Moyer in double digits with 14 kills.
Freshman
Cooper Garrett led UAH in assists with 27 for the match while
Anna Clare Hutto had 20 assists. Freshman
Sydney Durban had 26 digs and eight assists in the win over the Bearcats.
Defensively,
Mary Grace Bundrant had two solo blocks and a block assist to lead UAH in the block category.
Next up, the Chargers will begin Gulf South Conference play as they travel to take on Mississippi College in Clinton, Miss. on September 23 at 6 p.m.
