NASHVILLE, Tenn. | The UAH women's soccer team extended their winning streak to four games with a 2-0 victory over Trevecca Nazarene University on Sunday. The Chargers improved to 4-1-1 (2-0 GSC) with the victory, while the Trojans dropped to 2-3-1 (0-1-1 GSC).
UAH struck first courtesy of an own goal by Trevecca, giving the Chargers an early advantage. In the 82nd minute, Katey Ann Klingel capitalized on a pass from Jayla Gillespie to find the back of the net and seal the victory.
Goalkeeper Cece Szopa recorded a clean sheet, marking her second of the season, thanks to a strong defensive effort from the entire squad.
Next up for UAH is a road matchup against Montevallo on Saturday, September 27 at 7 p.m.
