HUNTSVILLE | UAH's Campbell Tarentino and CeCe Szopa were recognized by the Gulf South Conference on Tuesday, with Tarentino being named Defensive Player of the Week and Szopa honored as Goalkeeper of the Week.

Tarentino anchored the Charger backline in a 2-0 weekend, helping secure back-to-back clean sheets while playing all 180 minutes. She also added an assist in the ninth minute of UAH's 2-0 victory over No. 13 Lee.

Szopa went the distance in goal across both matches, collecting two clean sheets and totaling 11 saves. The junior stopped five shots in the 2-0 win over No. 13 Lee before adding six more saves in a 2-0 road win at Trevecca.

The Chargers look ahead to a road matchup against Montevallo on Saturday, September 27 at 7 p.m.
