HUNTSVILLE | The UAH volleyball team hosted their first Gulf South Conference match of the season against Lee on Friday evening at SportsMED Arena in Spragins Hall and swept the Flames 3-0 (25-19 | 25-19 | 26-24) to earn their first conference win of the season. UAH improved to 9-2 (1-1 GSC) with the victory, while Lee dropped to 5-6 (1-1 GSC).
The Chargers were led in the match by
Zoe Smith in an all-around performance as the senior led the team in kills with 14 on a .310 hitting percentage, while she also contributed a team-leading 10 digs in the match.Â
Mary Grace Bundrant added seven kills to the winning cause while also leading the team in blocks with three for the match.
Anna Clare Hutto highlighted the Chargers in assists with 15, while
Cooper Garrett added 13 assists.Â
