LIVINGSTON, Ala. | The UAH volleyball team made a road trip to Livingston, Alabama, to take on West Alabama on Tuesday evening and came out with a 3-0 (25-20 | 25-23 | 25-20) sweep against the Tigers. UAH improved to 10-3 (2-2 GSC) with the win, while UWA dropped to 6-5 (2-2 GSC).
Leading the Charger offense was
Zoe Smith with 14 kills on the evening, while she also contributed nine digs to aid the UAH defense.
Alex McGeehan highlighted the Charger defense with five block assists and two solo blocks as the conference's second-leading blocker also tallied five kills on a .500 attack percentage.
Cooper Garrett and
Anna Clare Hutto combined for 35 assists, while
Sydney Durban tallied 14 digs to lead the squad.
Calli Tanielu added 10 digs and two aces in the win for UAH.
Up next for the Chargers is a trip to Pensacola, Florida, to take on West Florida on Thursday at 6 p.m.
