LEBANON, Ill. – The UAH women's soccer team opened the 2025 season with a 1-1 draw at McKendree on Thursday evening at Leemon Field. Both teams move to 0-0-1 on the year following the non-conference matchup.
McKendree struck first in the 20th minute, as Ella Rogan finished a pass from Maddie Mauch to give the hosts a 1-0 lead.
The Chargers responded in the second half when Adriana Rojas scored her first goal of the season in the 60th minute to even the score at 1-1.
UAH totaled 10 shots in the contest with 3 on target, while McKendree posted 14 shots with 5 on goal. Cece Szopa made four saves in net for the Chargers, highlighted by a strong second half in which UAH's defense limited McKendree to just one shot on goal over the final 45 minutes.
UAH looks ahead to its home opener on Sunday at 11 a.m. against Tampa.
