ANDERSON, S.C. | The No. 25 UAH women's lacrosse team went on the road to open up their 2026 campaign in the first official Division II women's lacrosse game of the year and won a close battle with Anderson 11-10 to begin the new season on the campus of Anderson University.
Anderson held a 7-5 lead into the half against the Chargers as
Olivia Rewers totaled three of her five goals in the first two quarters. UAH stormed back in the third quarter as they outscored the Trojans 4-to-1 and took a 9-8 advantage at the quarter break.Â
The Trojans broke through for the first two goals of the final period, but the Blue & White persisted with goals from
Kate Simoncic and
Lauren Pfleger, with Pfleger's goal at the 3:05 mark sealing the game for the Chargers.Â
Rewers led UAH with five goals in the game along with seven draw controls, two ground balls, and three caused turnovers.
Corinne Baker and Simoncic each tallied a pair of goals, while Pfleger and Ava Fudjinksi rounded out the scoring with one apiece for UAH.Â
Brooke Denny got the start in goal and played all 60 minutes to notch her first win as the net-minder. She had five saves in the match.
Next up for UAH is a matchup on the road against Embry-Riddle on February 7th in Daytona Beach, Florida.Â
